Rich has been delivering early intervention services since early 2009.  He spent two years at a leading Perth intervention centre, before moving into private practice offering both diagnosis and early intervention.

Rich has delivered early intervention therapy to children aged from 18 months to 6 years, providing a range of interventions in the home and school for children of school age. He works closely with other allied health professionals including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other psychologists; and other professionals including paediatricians, GP’s, and teachers.  He regularly develops, executes, monitors, and revises individualised learning plans.

Brooke Chiera, Speech Pathologist

Brooke completed her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology at Curtin University in 2015. She has been on the Rockingham Autism Services team providing therapy since 2016. 

Throughout her clinical placements whilst studying and her years of working with Rockingham Autism Services, Brooke has acquired vast experience and knowledge in working with children with a range of disabilities. Brooke's role involves being part of the diagnostic team, case managing, and providing high quality intervention. She is passionate about continuing to further her knowledge in the field of communication in disability, with plans to expand skills in alternative and augmentative (AAC) communication.  

Chantel Haines, Developmental Therapist



Chantel has been a qualified dyslexia tutor since 2012.  Before joining Rockingham Autism Services in 2014 Chantel worked in child care, and special needs education.  

Danielle Sims, Speech Pathologist

Danielle graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology in 2017. Danielle has passionately supported children and families living with Autism Spectrum Disorder for 3 years. She worked as a therapy assistant at one of Perth’s leading intervention providers, specialising in the treatment of individuals with a range of disabilities including autism.

 

Danielle is proficient at providing individualised, family centred care within home, clinic and school settings. She dedicates herself to providing families with the highest quality of care. She is excited to contribute her prior knowledge and skills to our team, and is will undertake diagnostic training in the near future.

Heloise Brits, Occupational Therapist

Heloise graduated with Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Therapy) at Curtin University in 2016. She started with Rockingham Autism Services in May 2017. She has experience working with children and adults with a range of developmental, neurological and degenerative conditions; including individuals with autism spectrum disorder. 

 

Heloise has a strong interest in activities of daily living, including toileting issues and eating problems; and fine motor skills.

Meggan Stone, Occupational Therapist

Meggan completed her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at Curtin University in 2016.  She has experience working with children and adults with a range of developmental, mental health and degenerative conditions.

 

Meggan has over 3 years experience in supporting children and their families in a variety of roles, as an OT, Therapy Assistant and Support Worker.  She has worked in one of WA’s leading OT paediatric private practices, facilitating a range of groups; carrying out developmental, motor, behavioural and sensory assessments; as well as individualised one-on-one sessions for children with autism and other disabilities. 

 

Meggan is passionate about visual processing in children and the link between behavioural principles and sensory processing. 

Pascale Smart, Speech Pathologist

B.Sci (Speech Pathology)

Pascale graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology in 2018.

Pascale has completed professional development training in implementing Alternative and Augmentative Communication devices (AAC), reading and writing skills and managing sexualised behaviour in children with autism. She has experience working with children and adults with developmental and degenerative conditions, including autism and intellectual disability.

 

Pascale is passionate about delivering evidence-based, family-centred and individualised therapy for every child. She has a strong interest in functional communication and alternate modes of communicating.

Heidi has been active in the day to day management of Rockingham Autism Services since its inception. She can provide you with information regarding various services offered and will be able to assist you accessing a team member who can best meet your needs.
